About us

120 Years in the Making

Since 1905 we've built footwear with purpose, to outlast the toughest working conditions. Generation after generation, we've helped protect and support workers around the world by staying focused on what matters — getting the job done right and continuing to find ways to do it better.

From heavy-duty work boots and protective gear to the classic designs of our Heritage collection, everything we make is built to meet the real needs of the people who wear it. Whether made for the jobsite or inspired by it, each piece carries premium materials, a legacy of craft, and a lasting commitment to quality.

GENERATIONS OF DEDICATION

A family business

Starting with J.R. Sweasy, Red Wing has been family-owned and operated for four generations. That legacy has helped us stay grounded in our values, steady through change, and committed to treating our employees and the people we serve with the respect they deserve.

Made in the USA

Our legacy is rooted in a commitment to relying on our local communities to make boots for a global workforce. Each of our U.S. factories uses construction techniques that transform premium materials into supremely durable footwear.
